Topman Bay 17hh TB gelding. Topman has been at Brook Farm since he was a yearling. He was originally brought to go racing and ran for Brook Farm Racing Stables for 3 seasons before “retiring” to Surrey Hacking.
Ria Black 14.3hh Welsh Cob X Mare. Ria came to Brook Farm in May 2007, after being brought by Kim and Buck at Leominster Horse and Pony sales.
Percy Bay 15hh Welsh Cob x TB gelding. Percy came to Brook Farm in 2006 He didn’t have a name when he came to live at Brook Farm, but as he arrived the same weekend that the Epsom Derby is run, we called him after that year’s winner… Sir Percy!
Jay Dark Bay 15hh French Trotter X Mare. Jay is the oldest Surrey Hacking horse having begun her ridden career here in 1997. She loves her work, especially the Cross Country Rides and knows most of the rides better than us humans!
Dolly Liver Chesnut 14.2hh Welsh Cob Mare. Dolly has been at Surrey Hacking since 2005. Before coming to Brook Farm she had been used as a shepherding pony on a Welsh Hill Farm.
The hacking yard has been established for over 20 years and offers riding in the beautiful Surrey Hills, on a wide selection of well mannered, horses. Rides range from 1 hour to all day events.
Zebby Grey 15hh Cob gelding. Zebby is another purchase from Leominster Horse and Pony sales. He was only a yearling when we brought him, but we could tell from the moment he walked in the sales ring that he would one day be a Surrey Hacking favourite!
Giles Bay Roan 14hh Cob gelding. Giles is the second longest serving pony at Brook Farm, having been here since 2002. He is our smallest pony.
Joe
Bay 14.3hh Welsh Cob x Standard Breed gelding. Joe was brought from Leominster Horse and Pony sales in 2006, as his owners could no longer keep him. Although he was 8 years old at the time, he had only recently been ridden as he had spent most of his life as a driving pony.
Tommy Piebald 15hh Traditional Cob gelding. We brought Tommy as a yearling after seeing his advert in Horse and Hound magazine. He was the most laid back, kind and gentle little colt and has grown into one of our most popular ponies.
ZZ Chesnut 16.2hh TB Gelding. ZZ came to Brook Farm as a yearling in January 2006 with the idea that he would be a racehorse. Although he has been in training ZZ never showed enough ability at home to warrant a trip to the races
